The Edelrid Taipan 9.8mm climbing rope is made with reused sheath yarns leftover from production, making it an ecological choice. In an upcycling process, up to 95% of high-quality leftover yarns are reused; rather than discarding them, the sheath yarns leftover from standard products are used to make new ropes. This significantly reduces the amount of waste. And as the color of the leftover yarns cannot be planned in advance, each Taipan production batch has a unique color mix. This means that each rope is unique. The Edelrid Taipan 9.8mm follows the strictest quality and safety standards of the German brand but is also BlueSign approved and better for our planet.
